"The film attempts to present all those missed free throws as some sort of Valvano Jedi mind-trick at several points, but it seemed more like, well, some poor foul shooting."

I actually liked the clear Leonard stamp that was on this episode. And I like how Boyd appears to be back to being the underdog, not the chief kingpin of the county. He's more interesting when he's involved with some people who presume they're "above" him, underestimating how conniving and ruthless he can be.
Tim! TIM! That is all.
"So we're back to killin' both of 'em?" Even the small players got great lines in this ep. Best of the season so far.
I dunno, I'm thinking that with less than 5 minutes to go before a nuke goes off and he's forced to feel the fire of 12 million burning souls he failed to save, maybe Bruce decided to make an exception to his rule about killing.

Shit, you're right. And secondly, you're right.
"Parker and Longbaugh." Way of the Gun reference. How apt after last week's standoff with Quarles. If only they could've had someone shout, "Can't you people see there are guns here? Get the fuck out!" Oh wait, I think they actually gave that line to Raylan's gun.
The reclamation of Ava's character is so complete and effective it's worthy of some sort of unique award. She went from being a drain in season one to being one of the better characters on a show loaded with fantastic characters. It's remarkable.
Continuing the quote-fest:. "Cuban villains!" "Is that a ghost?"
It was in my Junior High English book as well, and we actually DID get to read it out loud. It was exactly as fun as you'd expect it to be.

Yeah, it's hilariously pathetic that he felt like he had one-upped Kriss Kross. They had two platinum selling albums and a gold album. They burned themselves out after 3 albums and still had better careers than Screech did. Diamond makes for an amusing study in self-delusion.
… …. Disneyland for drinkers sounds kind of awesome, actually.

Duckluck is right, but the headline is essential to hits. People are more likely to click on the article if it has a hyperbolic title.
I like how at the end of the review there's an addendum so blatantly shoveling postive commentary about the film onto the reader that it might as well be an open apology for Loder's negative review.
Source Code's ending…
Was such an unbelievable botch. I know it's been discussed elsewhere on the site, but I just saw it last night and was almost awestruck at how they dropped the ball in the last fifteen minutes or so. What's worse, there were a few different opportunities to wrap things up on a more satisfying…
