these podcasts
sometimes feel like they are the cool kids' direct substitute for Mike and Mike in the morning. these podcasts are sports commentary all the way. LOW STAKES, no controversial opinions, no deep insights, no criticism. it's kool-aid.
maybe the discussion should be about why we think this is all better

you people
you people are all profoundly boring.

the wire is a good show.

great, another world war II videogame.

joseph campbell
i have never read anything by him but he has always struck me as stupid. i'm gonna start an academic movement about the power of *

people like him, malcolm gladwell, and jared diamond (still alive?)

why race horses. horses are dumb. it's not like we're testing our horse making technology. most great horses are made by accident anyway, despite the folklore. a horse like secretariat is statistically probable, different standards every year. blah blah blah

movies about failure
why are movies about not having fun and failing so popular? this movie and it's ilk are useless. do people not know what happens when marriages fail? why?

max weinberg
well, it's not like he added a whole lot to the show. i bet there are at least four other witty drummers in the world.

law and order
they canceled law and order before this. it's like yorktown all over again.

vince vaughn
reminds me of something i'd like to punch.

this movie
this movie was terrible. what a waste of my time and zach's.
