The Director's Guild was quite surprised that Sarah Jessica Parker was not the lead in War Horse. They are HUGE Sex in the City fans…

I have only read Drama City and The Night Gardener.  Can you suggest more?

The last two seasons were underwhelming.  The first two were gold.

I actually think you have to give VB a shot into season 2.  I found season 1 kind a of morbid as well, but the following seasons build on the characters established in S1 and it becomes fantastic.  I don't think  the Venture Bros. gets enough recognition (outside of AV Club)

I think Tim Whatley has a part in it

I love Ellroy as well, but had trouble getting into Blood's a Rover.  Was anyone else disappointed in his last entry of the trilogy?

I agree, they got rid of Morris too quickly.  However the scene where Berry calls his 'enhanced' vibrating phone while it's in his pocket is hilarious.  That episode might be the one where I quit being disappointed in the loss of Morris.

I cannot begin to list all the pop culture crap that the AV Club has introduced me to that I love, and typically I'm amazed I haven't heard of before.  Maybe we could also do a future Q&A on stuff wildly popular at AV Club that, after purchasing/viewing/hearing, we were disappointed in?

I was disappointed in the latest season of IT crowd.  It just seemed flat, the jokes did not click like they have in previous seasons.  That said, the first two seasons were FANTASTIC

Who?

especially delivered in Richard's raspy voice.  Awesome!

M-O-O-N, that spells MOON Tom Cullen!

me too.  "He would never make it in Odessa"

I bet (and hope) it would take Owen about five minutes to get that deed back from the priest.  I doubt the writers do this, but it would be nice.

I think the AV Clubbers enjoy following where the writers take a show.  I think your average American wants a show to go the way they see it going, and balk when it doesn't.

I think Lucy is gone.  She had the baby and got the fuck out of town.  Or at least I hope she's gone.  Maybe she shows up drunk in the gutter in front of Manny's butcher shop.

"Come on Bork.  Time to meet my asshole parents"

agreed.  I thought they were going to make her his witty partner in crime, which would be sweet.  Instead we get a pain in the ass, religious, yet cheating, wife.  She is my least favorite character on TV (You're now #2, Skylar).

I agree.  If you don't have kids, you really don't understand the lengths people will go to so that they can provide for them/protect them.  Peg realizes that there is no way Esther can understand that.

I fear that there is a zero percent chance of happiness for Richard Harrow
