I was fond of that "Oxygen" song. "Stand Up and Be Strong" had a cool riff but terrible lyrics and "Lately" was a good sequel to "Black Gold".

I think they may have actually originated before The Replacements, at least Dave and Murphy playing together. I've heard that the "suicide kings and drama queens" line is in reference to Kurt Cobain and Eddie Vedder.

This thing is better than The Japandroids to me and they both strike out a similar vibe in a lot of respects with both lyrical content and anthemic songs. The difference is that there is a lot more going on in the sound here and these guys can play the guitars.

A little disappointed in this. I'm looking more forward to Henry Clay People's next album. There's more going on with the guitars in that band and they are pretty similar. Can't really get the hype for this one. Might need to check their debut.
