I've been pretty damn (pleasantly) surprised by plot twists before - the current run on I, VAMPIRE is great at that - though I don't know if that qualifies as Shock!  I guess The Filth has some pretty Shocking! stuff in it, though nothing too rough.

Swamp Thing #0 was, in my opinion, one of the worst single issues I've read this year.  Animal Man #0 was mediocre - just a fairly simple updating of his origin to fit with the whole Rotworld idea.  Phantom Stranger #0 was boring.
