… that is worryingly specific to the good Chancellor's request.

I liked Tiny Furniture quite a bit, actually, but the sex was more sad than anything else.  I'm honestly glad it's both sad AND funny in Girls.

And here I thought the seminal late 90s classic "Not Another Teen Movie" really put paid to that trope.

Wait, why are the books flying?

The AV Club apparently just gets my taste in porn, I guess.  Next thing you know, Camille Crimson will be dropping by and I'm going to stop typing now because there are things none of the commenters here really need to know about me.

I think the only way a relationship like this works is if he stays about 90000x more confident than everyone around him.  Otherwise, he'll start getting weird and then it's all over.

On the one hand, I don't think that Rick is waiting for a rescue.  He comes late to the party, so he finds out early on it's not coming and readjusts, while Shane never does.  So I don't think the motives for wanting to stay put and stay in control are the same.

Well, I hope the feature gets enough hits, then. It was an awesome
birthday present to wake up and find new comics stuff on the AVC - there are too few good comic sites out there, but I've found your coverage to be insightful and well-written whenever it pops up.

It's not quite as bad here, but it gets so much worse as the series goes on - no one just explicitly says everything they're feeling all the time like all Kirkman's characters do.

That was a big problem.  But then, every character has the exact same voice, so it's not like it would be a difficult transition to a new lead.
