I don't think he's the ghost of Lane Pryce. Lane Pryce would not accompany his business partner, whom he referred to as a 'grimy little pimp' to a brothel and then offer to pay for said partner's services of a prostitute, nor would would he help Joan out without getting all 'touchy feeley'.  I don't think he is

If Pete were to start wearing a monocle, he would be a complete picture of evilness.

During which he encounters Faye Miller who yells at him to do it in the ocean.

Roger (rightfully) anticipated that Petersen would be one to harbor a grudge, therefore he let him go for the sake of peace, though he did go overboard with the smarminess IMHO.

Will they retain the 'G' once Gleason expires?

@avclub-74c585d99078f09ef754419ed0a6150c:disqus  Joan probably wanted to keep her away from reception because of her inability to stop process servers getting through.

He did get a Purple Heart, there is a scene in series one where he's examining it while sitting in his office, and there is a flashback where he is semi-conscious in a hospital bed (after the switching tags) and a member of the military brass presents it to him, then moves on to the patient in the next bed.

She does like drinking, I do remember Pete telling the maintenance man to make her a Gin and Tonic over the phone.

I think so, she would be a WASP of the 'No dogs or Irish' generation.

We probably have not seen the last of Sylvia. There will likely be more awkward elevator rides for the rest of the season.

In season four, when Don is undergoing a government security clearance check for the North American Aviation account, Pete suggests that Don cannot be prosecuted due to 'statue of limitations', to which Don corrects him 'It's desertion, There is no statute of limitations'.

So Pete finally did get his 'name on the door'.

Or at least that's what he told a hobo who was once a priest in New Jersey.

I thought the same thing.  If she's Ted's secretary, and Meredith is taking down the minutes, why was she there?

Last season, Roger remarked (I think it was on the 25th anniversary of Pearl Harbor when he started drinking at 7.30 in the morning), that the Pearl Harbor attack was 'a work of genius', in something of an admirable tone.

Don drank the shark under the table and then it passed out on the floor.

Agent Orange will be just that if the Dow account has survived the merger.
