Would the creative geeks necessarily respond to encouragement from Peggy?  The impression I got of them was that they were immature frat boy types not unlike the ones at another agency who water-bombed the Civil Rights protesters at the start of the previous season, and the snarky mock copy that arrived on Peggy's

Like showing how the real Don fancied Anna's busybody sister but ended up marrying Anna as a consolation prize.

Maybe Bob Benson has been introduced as a sort of wildcard in the Ken Cosgrove/Pete Campbell rivalry that's been playing out since the first season.

True.  The way he said nothing and let Don go ahead with the 'Suicide Pitch' shows Stan isn't terribly loyal to SCDP and shows his capacity for fermenting mischief.  Stan jumping ship to Peggy's new firm is certainly not implausible.

I think he still is that guy, he just wants to produce advertising that propogates love convincingly, rather than in a hokey and phoney way like the ads he was looking at or like the ridiculous San Fran hippie stereotypes he referred to.

Will the Army come looking for Don Draper when they find his lighter among the remains of some infantry grunt in the aftermath of The Tet Offensive?  Will this be Don's undoing?

He seemed pretty keen on Africa when he was on the health kick/philosophical introspection in season four, as his voice over says "I want to climb Mt Kilamajaro, or go anywhere in Africa"

Bob came on like just another dreary corporate sycophant, nowhere near as classy as showing up black cloak, white poker face, and demanding a game of chess.

Here, here.

@avclub-4c37107b9dedb73b90f677930bf7728b:disqus good point, but those bands did their best work twenty plus years ago, and this new generation of emerging New Zealand bands are hardly comparable to their musical forebears and betters.  In  New Zealand, faux-reggae is music for 'people who don't like music'.

faux-reggae is all the rage in NZ. One need only look at the meteoric rise of the banal Six60 to see that the populace like their tunrs bland and dumb.

Agreed.   The basis of their relationship as established in first season is that to Nucky, Margaret and her children fill the void in his life left by his deceased first wife and child, and for Margaret, Nucky's wealth ensured her and her family were not going to be destitute.  In a nutshell, a marriage of convenience.

I guess he won't be getting his shine box now.

I guess the timeline for this season did not extend far enough into 1923.
