Yeah, that stuck out. She is your average 20-year-old college sophomore's freaking spirit animal.

Yes, but they are the ones who made the biggest ruckus to the FCC after her VMA performance.

I'm completely sure that's an intentional nod to her inspiration from that one time she heard part of a song that had part of a sample of that one song by those Diggie Fresh and Slick Kick guys.

Bought the album about a month after it came out. Didn't even think of it until 12 years later.

I see NBC has re-filled the "Show full of people that I like that will get endlessly retooled before dying a un-mourned death" vacancy in its schedule.

Rapsody just came out with a well-recieved mixtape, I believe she's been working with 9th Wonder, so if anything, the beats are great. But she's trying to be just a pure MC, and that's never sold particularly well.

I gave it spin on Spotify and will be purchasing it post-haste. Phonte hasn't let me down in years now.

Lord, I ma have enjoyed HIMYM these last few years, but with this last season, I feel like the priest presiding over the wedding in Spaceballs.

"It’s a mix between an unemployed black actor and an old, Negro, gay ghost."

That really, really oughtta be their motto. Few shows do such a great job of educating me, and making me want to kill myself.

After two years of Two Broke Girls, and given the "It's Just a Joke!/Any Publicity is Good Publicity" ad campaign Dads has been running, I'm quietly resigned to this show ending up the breakout hit of the fall season.

I love the sheer number of movies where Jason Statham plays an American, and they make absolutely NO EFFORT to get him to change his accent. It just adds to the allure, as far as i'm concerned.

Dammit, beat me to it.

Nicely done sir.

I always know each season will be interesting, no matter what.

Learning to Draw Update Thread!:

I've gone into every single one of the Giants seasons since 2007 feeling exactly the same, that it's equally likely that they'll win the Superbowl or go 7-9.

To get an understanding of the hilariously ridiculous farce that constantly surrounds football, I always recommend people to read the coverage over at The Guardian. Sid Lowe's dispatches on the Spanish league are hilarious and edifying, as are Raphel Honigstein's on Germany.

I grabbed a six-pack of Spaten Oktoberfest last night, which was very good. I've always been a fan of Spaten Optimator, so I opted to try for something fall-themed.
