It really feels like this show goes all-out in the opening segment and loses steam as it goes along. Not that it doesn't mean that I don't love the show, but I felt like all the best gags happened early.

I enjoyed Charlotte Simmons when I read it less as some literary takedown of modern college culture, and more as a crotchety old man writing up his "observations" after hiding in plain sight on a college campus.
