Definitely agree that there is potential here. But Gillian's accent… It's just wrong. Not terrible- but just off enough to draw attention to itself. I so wish she had stayed Scottish!

Yeah that was my favorite part- I can see him enacting that scene in my mind perfectly. It speaks to Fuller's comment- if you've got a type, you're golden. Great RR, Will, as always. Love love this feature.

I was bummed about this too, but honestly.. meaningful game on Sept 28th? We didn't expect that this year. Playoffs would be better of course but hey… Mariner's had a good season. Now we can root for the A's to lose. And the Angels.

The Adama-drama does get old. But Olmos' reading of "If it were you, we'd never leave" just kills me. It's so perfect, it is so real (as a father), and he just sells the hell out of it. I love it.

I couldn't agree more. "Goodbyeee" is as close to a perfect episode of a show as I've ever seen. Thanks for the recaps!

"Hi Metamorpho, I'm Shazam"
*changes to kid*
"Dammit!"

I have to throw my two cents in for Enterprise. It doesn't hold a candle to TNG or DS9 of course, but it has some nice moments and some fine acting. I wish they didn't waste Hoshi and Travis, and that theme song… ugh…
But still. Some awesome ST mythos in there.

Thanks for this article. It's always interesting to see the passion of the fans. And TNG cast members just seem so nice and easy to like.

But can we agree at least that technically correct is the best kind of correct?

Upvoted for educating me about Inspect Element

I've known a few people who have totally disowned a parent. It's baffling to me- I get distance, but excepting a few extreme cases (abuse, theft, etc) I can't imagine saying "So long" and not speaking until one of you dies. Just seems too big a bridge to burn for people who raised you. (Full disclosure- one of my

Hey Hamster had to lock that down. My hamster hung himself on the bars of his cage, so… good for him.

Thanks! Yeah we just celebrated 20 years. We were that rare HS couple that married because we shared interests and ambitions and not because of an unplanned pregnancy! Although I think some of my relatives seriously thought that was the case… Intellectual compatibility is an alien concept in rural WV.

No we screwed it up from there. I became a teacher and my wife is a doctor. Our parents are mortified.

1994 was the year I got married, graduated high school and turned 18! The Appalachian Trifecta!

I'm in the minority I'm sure but I really enjoyed goon, despite the awful name. I was bummed it didn't get a chance for another season,

Yeah exactly- I didn't say it as eloquently but that was my point. This is the reality of such a large portion of the rural US. It's really amazing. Even the places that haven't seen a huge decrease in population (like my hometown in WV) have seen a huge decline in young professionals, creative types of all shades…

I appreciate what you're saying and don't disagree exactly- but I think these films still have some relevance. As someone who just spent a year teaching back in my rural WV hometown, the kind of miserable abject horror that exists in these places is important to shine a light on. Upward mobility is not nearly as

Blackadder the Third is my favorite series. And Ink and Incapability is the reason. Such a fantastic;y fun episode.

AT-ATlas Shrugged is the best thing ever.
