I agree. I always found that the sad part of the novel, not (SPOILERS, I GUESS) Winston's eventual fate. The society had ruined him already, he had no chance at redemption.

Definitely an awesome guy. If I were cool enough to pull off "You want it poolside, or are we gonna spoon back in the room?" I'd be a happy bastard.

Is "the hell of Molasses Swamp" a MST3K inspired Candyland reference? If so, good on ya, Zack.
The best reason to switch to ' sort by best rating.' One thing I like about discus.
Hmm. Sounds like you're in the…danger zone!
Nah I can do better. Hold on….
I feel bad enough about the state of the world. I'd rather mock people's clothes.
I didn't hate The Beast Below either. It isn't my favorite, but it was fun. The Queen was awesome.
Agreed in part. I mean I love the _idea_ of Amy, the girl who waited, etc. It often fails in the execution. I love Martha Jones, though, so what do I know.
I love it as well. Not ironically, but for the beautiful madness. It was just so strange and fun.
Seconded, Scrawler. I clicked 'like' but I wanted to highlight the important point that post kid marital bliss is possible, and many of us enjoy it. I hate the bitter husband rant- some of my co workers get on this, and then talk about being holed up in their dens at home playing games and ignoring their bitch wives.…
I laughed so hard at this. It helps that I hear it in a Woody Allen voice.
Great article. As a former sxe kid who holds a ton of affection for that scene, I seldom enjoy these kind of stories of 'back in the day' as much as I hope to. This one was awesome, well written, and perceptive.
Easter clothes are a big part. And some kids get toys. I remember that briefly being a thing when I was a kid, I guess it still may be.
To be honest my kids are getting some clothes for Easter. I'm part of the problem! (or solution? Don't ask me how the economy works.)
I love the Zuko-Iroh relationship more and more with each rewatching. Maybe it's being a father, but their interactions are so powerful and well done. Iroh is my hero.
Wow this is awesom-
Oh thought you said Eddie Rabbit.
Further nerd curious ideas: Kaiju films, especially Godzilla. Fun!
Wow this was an excellent article. One of the best I've read on the site in a while. Kudos.
Oh thank you for this site. Great fun.
Bah discus hates me.
