Q: Okay, so Sub Rosa…
A: I knew this was coming.
Q: I don’t even know where to start or what to ask. Why don’t you just say whatever you want about it?
A: Okay. This is another one of those, “I’m not very proud of this,” kinds of things, because the whole episode was the result of me being so goddamn angry at Brannon

Q: Can we talk about Parallels?
A: AARGH!
Q: Can I consider that a no?
A: Okay, okay. This one really just hits close to home.
Q: What happened?
A: At first, everything was normal. I had assigned Parallels to Braga, it was just his sort of thing. Alternate realities, trippy shit, you know. It was a peace offering of

Q: This week, we have Force of Nature and
Inheritance to talk about.

Q: Do you have anything on Dark Page or Attached?

Q: Want to talk about Phantasms?
A: I have no recollection at all about that episode. None.
Q: It was picking up on the B-story from Birthright, with Data’s dreams.
A: Wow, we did another one of those? We were originally going to do a full episode on Data’s dreams in season six. But we realized before that what we had

Apologies, forgot to follow that up with Rick in the interview. We just had a brief Gchat:

Q: Tell me about Interface.

Q: How did Liaisons come about?
A: Painfully.
Q: I did notice the wall of text at the beginning of the episode, you know, for the writers. I did not recognize those names.
A: Yeah, expect a lot of that in the last season. Holy cripes! I messed up big there.
Q: How so?
A: I should have just hired another two regular writers

I would never have considered one of the stars of Franklin & Bash to be a model of integrity, but compared to Lopez it's sort of true.

Q: I think the thing I didn’t much like about the Trek movies is how, basically, in all of them you have the same exact villain. Sure, some differences here and there, but mostly cosmetic ones.
A: That’s bullshit.
Q: Take Soran. He has this goal of getting into the Nexus but seems to have latched onto the most

Q: I had a question to ask you about Descent. Did it begin life as a two-parter, or did you have no idea how to end it when Ron Moore wrote Part I?
A: We never planned cliffhangers. We did plan two-parters that were in the middle of a season, like Chain Of Command, Gambit, and so on. All those have fairly good cohesion

Q: Rick, what do you think of this review?
A: Frankly, I think it blows. The movie isn't perfect, but it fills in a lot of backstory and the story itself is pretty good. What, this guy's some kind of sci-fi fan and he doesn't like time travel stories?
Q: I agree.

Q: So, Timescape…?
A: Yes. Timescape.
Q: …Okay, nothing to say about it?
A: Well, let me think. Oh, yes, Timescape. I was actually kind of cool on that one. Not a favorite.
Q: Really? It’s very popular with the fans.
A: I did not like the part where Picard made the happy face in the cloud of dilithium vapor.
Q: Really? That

Suspicions
Q: So, what about Suspicions? How did that go?
A: I don't remember that one.
Q: Crusher investigates suspicious deaths of some scientists.
A: Really? That's just not registering…oh, wait, there it is. Thought it was a great episode, nearly perfect.
Q: It's not terribly well regarded by the fans.
A: Well, the
