Personally, I prefer Richard E Grant's late 90's portrayal as the Scarlet Pimpernel. That spectacularly beautiful voice and general caddish nature made my 16 year old skip a beat back then. Phwor.

Yeah, the first three episodes all happened within about a week, I think, but when Michelle was in the hardware store she mentioned that she'd moved a month ago. As Mathilde says above, it would have been more believable if they'd said the money from Hubbell was still all tied up in probate or something.
