I'm going to put this out there: he went on a shopping spree with two people — one of whom dropped everything and left work without permission , one who was visiting from his business which employs supermodels at a salary of $100K/year to answer the phone while Detlef Schrempf plays basketball behind them in an office

Nah,.that wasn't what I meant — the rumors mentioned in this article about who the song  "Professional Widow" was about were referring to Courtney Love.  It was widely believed the song was an angry "fuck you" to Courtney.

Oh yeah, "Professional Widow"….

Yeah, this lawsuit was going nowhere from the start.  Fox Searchlight just distributed, they didn't run production, hence they weren't responsible for hiring or paying anyone on set.  The film was financed by Cross Creek Pictures, who likely started some New York production entity with a name like "White Swan, Inc.",

It might be "bitch work for free", but plenty of entry-level *paid* gigs involve bitch work, too.  And though Mr. Lawsuit might think he's far too smart and talented and deserving of much more opportunity, what he doesn't seem to realize is that part of his education on that set was learning to perform menial tasks

Honestly, it's gotten to the point where I can't tell if Matt Damon is fat or built, or fat on purpose for the sake of the role, or fat just because he'd older and wants to be fat now. Some clarity, please, Matt Damon! I feel I've a right to know, and all this back and forth is wreaking havoc on my ulcer.

Since growing out of the scaredy-cat I used to be as a child, there hasn't been much in movies that's creeped me the frig out.

Fine, I'll say it.
I thought 'Scary Movie 4' was a hoot.

Creepy?
I don't know that I'd characterize Paul's feelings toward Adele as "creepy". Perhaps it's awkward and uncomfortable that he went so far as to tell her he was thinking of her during sex with Wendy, but Adele's certainly smart and professional enough to handle issues of transference. And really, it's just a

So, this is cheating — but via my TimeWarner Cable HBO OnDemand service, I get all four of the week's episodes posted for me on Monday. I just watched this week's Jesse session, and I think it may sway the opinion of those who hate him intensely. He's still a bit of an asshole teenager, but he kinda just ripped my

I hold onto the notion that one day, the world will appreciate 'Congo' for the masterpiece it is. Apes drinkin' martinis, talking with their robot gloves…

I don't get the "nothing's at stake" criticism — plenty's at stake. It's not on a grand scale or ridiculously sexy and dramatic, but…a widower is trapped in a house in a country where he doesn't feel like he belongs. A woman is struggling with a possibly horrid outcome to a scary medical test. A teenage kid who

More and more I'm finding that the lazy-ass "it's condescending to its characters!" criticism is the *actual* condescending bullshit. What is this "targeted audience" you think the show is condescending to? Yokels who aren't as smart as you?

All of This Has Happened Before…
I saw Neko on her "Fox Confessor" tour in L.A. During her opening number, one audience member loudly screamed at another to "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Neko calmly finished the song ("A Widow's Toast"), pointed angrily at the screamer and yelled, "If you say "Shut the fuck up" again, I'll
