While I understand all of Alasdair's criticisms, I think a C+ is a little harsh. All in all I really enjoyed this episode. All half-season long I've been guessing that something happens to the present Clara that makes her the impossible girl. And while it's a little cheesy, the counterpoint that after spending years

A *mostly* cool ship. I'm assuming the whole have to wait a minute after firing would've been involved in a major spacefight or two later on, but it just seemed like an odd characteristic. So many dead ends on that show. I really wanted to learn more about the whole Apocalypse Box too.

So your saying she boffed a lot?

I really think that the reason that he was so good was that he was buried under all that makeup. I've seen his non-makeup roles (i.e. The Fugitive) and he's ok, but put him under prosthetics and he just shines.

The one nice thing about the Ivanova/Talia switcheroo is that it acts as another turn of the Ivanova-vs-the-PsiCorps screw. So much hate, so much distrust. It really is a shame we never got to see season 5 play out as intended.

There goes $8.99. ;-)

Over on "another site" someone quotes a who-insider that reviewed NG's scripts. Apparently the first draft had the Victorian-era Clara (or Beryl) and her charges going on this adventure. Make of this what you will.

Not just the Corps, but teeps in general. What was it, some Antarctic expedition that ran across the Vorlon Sylvester McMonkey McBean turning humans into teeps with gloves on thars or something like that.

"That place is reserved for Valen."

I'm still trying to parse the opening. The husband wanders through the HAL-9000 door -> Ms. Peel and the supermodels offer their condolences -> screams are heard -> cherry lolly on a stretcher. Was the screaming just him being captured? Why dip him just to kill him? Or was he pretty enough to be preserved?

Maybe they didn't go to their library. Maybe they went to the Library.

My guess is that they are holding Clara back until the big reveal (whatever that is). They want her to be mysterious, but sadly that's taken the form of these criticisms. Hopefully once the mystery is solved [provided that she is a) alive, b) real, or c) not the Rani] we can get to know her.

On another forum someone pointed out that they seem to be counting down the Doctor's.

Maybe it's a first run from back in the 80's picked up by the two kids when they were time-travelling as servants of … the Rani!

Don't forget the "winter is coming" business in The Snowmen.

*spoilers* I thought that the trilateral device (mixing B5 with conspiracy theories since 2013) was specifically crafted for Sinclair DNA, and because Delenn is a descendant of Valen it reacted for her. I wonder if it would have glowed for her parent?

What? No Countdown to the Crown review for us to kabitz and over-analyze?

I don't know. They have a little iPad that can judge people's intelligence and understands enough of the Tardis's systems to know that behind that door is "Everything."

I still think that the big Clara mystery hasn't happened yet. For now she's just Clara, Clara Prime if you will. But because the Doctor is convinced that something's amiss and drags her along for the ride he will eventually cause the event that sparks the mystery.

Flashback to The Library (where we first meet River…)
