I was ambivalent about the "show what the character's really feeling inside" device, but that third time, with the turducken made me understand and appreciate it. No doubt some people were groaning the first time they saw it (like me), but the payoff was when it DIDN'T happen when we expected it. Well done.

At first the cancellation made me sad
But I'm rather happy it ended here. Monday's finale was a very, very appropriate ender. And I think three seasons works for this show, and most others. Had it continued, it might have gone the way of 'Weeds' or 'Dexter,' either spiraling away from purpose or recycling the same

"Tell your disappointment to suck it! I'm doing a bottle episode!"

My reaction:
EEEEAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUGHH, done five times during dramatic Voldemort beats.

It's as if the kids were growing up and dealing with normal teenage sturm und drang.

It's as thrilling as that story of yours.

Can there be a sort of forbidden romance angle? Vampiric undertones? You want this thing to sell, don'tcha?

Thporth talk? *avoids thread*

Twi'lek: "If I hear the music, I'm gonna dance."

Out of all the children's sitcom hackwork, 'Wizards of Waverly Place' is my choice for the best. But 'Adventure Time' got a snub? Ohhellnaw.

So much to drink up in this article. Doing the same, but with Vince Gilligan would be incredible. Especially since we know he and the writers were improvising Season Three.

Paranoia Agent is amazing. Kon at his best. A.V. Club should definitely cover it some time.

^ I'm hot. Hubba hubba!

After gimmick commenters, no one can distinguish who is real or fake anymore!

I just like how this is the first A.V. Talk video to have very animated, dissenting opinions. I bet they cut out the part where Scott upturned the table, Josh splashed water in Tasha's face, and Tasha slapped Scott with 'My Year of Flops.'

I, like the OP, started with 'The Wire' first (and haven't stopped making comparisons ever since, despite myself). But clearly the comments suggest it has its own individual merits and toted it as the best network TV series, so guess I kinda HAVE to see it now!

People have favorite wars now?

I love the theme song. The Season Three remix was not quite as good, but the visuals were VERY SoCal noir.

Voiceovers can be distracting and annoying, but the quippy writing all but makes up for it. There are a LOT of quotable lines in the voiceovers alone, and they don't really substitute for story, IMO. Just a little exposition here, a bunch of sassy remarks there.
