All of his '70s Island stuff is brilliant, particularly Fear. Slow Dazzle is probably his most accessible. Ho.bosapiens is really good. His autobiography is worth seeking out, very frank (some scathing words about Lou Reed).
Of Paris 1919, Half Past France is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life.

Beckinsale is one of the most ridiculous so-called movie stars around. She's one of the breed that maintains her profile with the occasional appearance in men's magazines and just makes movies now and again as a necessary evil that's required to consolidate her level of fame. Of COURSE I'd fuck her.

No problem. Apologies for the pedantry, though.
Re: Mr. Cage's pyramid. Perhaps he could employ a stone mason to chisel hieroglyphics depicting scenes from his varied filmography into the walls. He could also have a shelf displaying his numerous toupees. Give me a call, Nic. I'm an ideas man.
Common misconception: it wasn't Mel who said that, it was another producer on the film, Stuart Cornfeld.
"Kraftwerk are a great soul band."- Another reason to bruise Bono's shaft.
It has a wintery atmosphere to it that's kind of magical, and I love the fatalism running through it to the end, where the hero plays no part in the defeat of the Dubya-esque villain. Also, Donald Sutherland does the voice of the computer.
It's got to be the 1988 version. I don't see what right the self-proclaimed experts had to dick around with the film. It's unforgivable that they took out the freeze-frame opening (and the wrap-around freeze frame close), a huge contributor to me falling in love with the film. They also dropped some amazing scenes in…
