Oy I've had a couple of kidney stones before. The way I explain it to people is that I've never been shot, but that's the closest thing I could think to compare it. With a garden variety kidney stone, there's not a lot that can be done aside from pain management until it passes, so I wind up going to the ER just to

Holy shit Tintin looks terrible

Just watched that. Absurd.

Stars on Sticks Forever

Now I kind of want to see the finished product as an exercise just to see if I can spot the areas they had to change (the thing hasn't even filmed yet), and how much CBS let stray from the "guidelines," if at all.

Could be a bit of both American/French Revolution, though I especially admire her performance in the Battle of Gloucester.

Oh good stuff - thank you. It'll be interesting to see how much time he spends in Mar-a-lago and Trump Tower vs. White House. I see the Obamas' "Winter White House" was a place in Honolulu, though doesn't appear they spent more than 10 or so days there each year.

Look at the parking lot, Larry! Just look at that parking lot.

Much as liberals are going to miss Obama, will be curious to see how much the GOP will too. (Not exactly a fan, but David Brooks wrote a thoughtful piece earlier this year: http://www.nytimes.com/2016…. A lot will depend on how far down the rabbit hole they're willing to continue to go to try to justify things Trump

If they were willing to cast Michael Moriarty, you KNOW it was made a while ago

I'd appreciate if someone with a better film vocabulary than me helped put into words how I/the audience can perceive some extremely violent films as clearly glorifying war (this one apparently) and others as clearly anti-war (a la Paths of Glory)? What is that skill/technique that is apparent to a viewer that allows

Re: returning I'm with John Clare: it died tragically, perhaps pitifully, and before its time, but better to leave it there than force a soulless revival.

I didn't realize anybody outside of One Million Moms found that bit upsetting..? IMO it's a joke that comes out of nowhere and doesn't quite land, which took away from my enjoyment the movie.
