It was a while ago. Wikipedia says he left in 2003, but it feels like an eternity, especially since 2004ish when The Daily Show became much more focused on politics and the news dmedia.

Saw it last weekend - it's basically Raiders on a big-ass screen. Spielberg said that nothing was changed with the visuals, but it got the IMAX sound treatment (a vastly underrated aspect of IMAX in my opinion), which, for this kind of movie, gave it a lot of punch.
