Corollary on the video clues: They can also be an effective stalling tactic if one has a large lead later in the round, provided one is comfortable enough in the category.

That WOULD be a chilling movie. It reminds me of a rumor about cosmonauts shot into space during the space race before Russia figured out/cared about bringing them back. Allegedly, someone picked up transmissions of these ill-fated cosmonauts, and the translated transcripts are harrowing. I certainly hope it didn't…
Yes, but the other one (whose name escapes me) had answered Ohio and crossed it out.
As an Illinoisan steeped in Lincoln lore, I was expecting at least one of them to write Illinois instead of Kentucky. I'm wondering why two people went with Ohio, though.
When did Little Pete become Chumlee?
I love the detail that the mini-van has two baby car seats in the back, but the episode didn't restate that he has twin baby girls. It's something that people who saw the pilot would understand, but it doesn't distract people joining on this episode. That's showing a little bit of trust in the audience.
It's difficult to think of a celebrity less grounded in reality than Paltrow, and Louis CK's appeal is how grounded he is. I just can't see it. Either GOOP would be spouting useful life advice, or Louie would be about shopping for artisanal wallpaper with William Joel.
You mean until the Steinbeck part, right? That part was beautiful.
I'm unable to like this post.
*SPOILERS!!!*
Dear Dan:
It's getting better AND worse. We have "Breaking Bad," "The Americans," and "Mad Men," but we also have Honey Boo-boo. For sitcoms, at least there's still "Parks and Recreation" to balance out all the "Two and a Half Men"s. As for the shows being released, keep in mind just how many of them won't outlive the…
So, is the person complaining that it was a "third rate exhibition of what a pedophile would like to see" concerned about its quality? If it had been first-rate, all would be fine, right?
Um, those were places to have sex. Duh.

@avclub-884c4beddd8c98bb3b016bdfcc1bcdf8:disqus — In a way, it's not that different from reading a classic novel. You may already know the plot and significant details, but that's still not the same as actually reading it, so it doesn't really ruin the experience for me.
I also read this before watching. I do that from time to time; I don't mind spoilers. My husband is the opposite way — he HATES spoilers, and when he found out that I'd already read a review, he looked hurt, like I'd watched the episode without him.
I think Tress MacNeille did a decent job as Lucy.
Part of the reason I think Tork's singing was so bad was that his character forced him to sing so far outside his natural range. Listen to "Ríu Ríu Chíu"—all four of them sound pretty good there, because between the four of them you have two tenors, a baritone, and a bass-baritone. In order to be "pop stars," though,…
I was Monkees-crazed during their 80s and 90s revivals, and I didn't think that much about Nesmith's songs then. Now I listen to them and realize what a skilled songwriter he really was.
