Check out The Amazing Race Canada sometime! 3 seasons so far. The first year never leaves canada but we have stuff like a desert in the middle of the frozen Yukon. Fair enough. Hickman is actually doing well by Reed and Doom from what I've read. It's not a proper FF story but you can see he cares.

Most think this is due to the film rights stuff. The main villain in Hickman's event that's rebooting Marvel's entire line right now is Doctor Doom. People are saying the ending will close him, Reed and Sue out. For the relaunch Johnny (and Beast) are confirmed to be with the Inhumans and Ben has joined the GotG.

Most fans think this is just due to Fox having the film rights to the mutants and FF. Why promote characters in the comics that they can't control or use for movies?

In the comics the Terrigen Mist has started slowly killing mutants and has already outright sterilized them all and regular people from having any mutant children so maybe.

Monica was from Saoma, Russell's first season she was the first to try and directly confront him over his power plays. She got 7th. The interesting thing is she is friends with Laura from her season.
