"Like too many Amazon Prime subscribers, you’ve somehow missed that you get two of the best comedies of the past two years (Transparent and Catastrophe) in addition to free, two-day shipping."

And Orphan Black

Next: Orphan Black.

Wow. Nice read, I hope the new show does well.

Charisma probably, apparently the staff of the show kill themselves laughing whenever he gags and getting passed by the wrestlers while Sean was on a pee break was probably too funny not to cut. Although it may be a surprise win like Mickey & Pete were. They did finish the Brawn task and beat the Wrestlers in a foot

How about the Race? It was just awkward to see Leilani and Dujean fall apart at the end. He was frustrated they were last and she was hurt so they both had reasons for anger. And the germ-phoebe in me hated the idea of a leg cut around the manure.

Well it did officially start in Canada last Friday, but as he said the AV Club is missing this episode and episode 2 for next week. http://news.nationalpost.co…

Really? I'm Canadian so maybe it's different but I had at least two electives a year all throughout high school. In my final year during Grade 12 the only mandatory thing was an English course. For college I specifically went to a Law program for 3 years where all my courses were relevant to the field.

It might build character if they see it through but in practice it turns off some people from learning altogether which is very detrimental.

I wonder if The Race will try and cram another Face Off into a Double U-Turn tonight, on top of the Gagging & Wipe-out Brothers Speed Bump. I just know the producers had to be freaking out when the teams didn't stick around to finish it properly.

All subjects require hard work to pass. Everyone has certain strengths and weaknesses academically. You may have been able to overcome obscure calculus but not everyone can. While learning how to try again is important is it worth setting someone's life back a full year just because of one class with subject matter

Anyone who wants more Avatar, the canon comic Smoke & Shadow releases September 23rd. Now we will know what happens *after* Zuko found his Mom!

Meelo, no! That is not a toilet!

Not unless they do a Korra one too, I'd love to see The Metal Clan as well.

Yes, the lottery ones are the what I meant.

At 15 you probably have some sort of idea what kind of career you want to pursue. If you want to become an engineer or such then you would choose to learn that complicated math as you took the steps to follow that career path. For the rest of the students that know basic math, they shouldn't have to drag themselves

A lot of it also appears to be from immigrant communities which do tend to be more conservative to begin with. Although I do wonder why we have two (four if you count the French Boards) different school systems. Add to this French Immersion basically becoming a publicly-funded private school and we have a mess.

His main point was that useless facts should not be mandatory when there are so many life skills they are missing out on. If you want to be an engineer and learn that complicated math, great, but don't force it on the majority who will never need it.
