I always thought of Chevelle as "Tool for people that don't want to think too much". And, in full disclosure, I do own Chevelle music. No shame.

Foo Fighters have two nights at Fenway Park - I'm really hoping to get tickets for the night Mission of Burma open.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of these lists were written before the writers were able to hear PRhyme. Because that should be on them.

Meow! That's What I Call Music! (Meowsic?)

But no Top Gun?

Look at all the junk food…

Magic Mike is another one that was pigeonholed, and that was too bad. I mean, yeah, he had 38-minute bass tones, but he could tear it up.

Mr. Mixx was actually a fucking great DJ. It's almost too bad it gets overlooked by everything else the group did. I just read their chapter in Check The Technique - interesting stuff I didn't know (or remember) from 1990.

I think House Party 3 was the best of them, just for Bernie Mac (RIP). But then again, Class Act was better than the other House Party movies, too.

Who?

Sledge Hammer showed up. A+.

I'm actually listening to the Mega/LP record right now - it is very, very solid. They're playing locally on Friday, and I'm definitely thinking about checking it out.

I think any list that has Foil/Handy/Word Crimes as the Top 3, in any order, is acceptable. They were clearly ahead of the rest. People can argue the order of those 3, and on any given day, I'd agree with it.

I'm grateful for "Inactive", because I cannot fucking stand the Nickel-play original, and now I have alternate lyrics for it.

Indeed. Probably the best one of the series (not counting Bohemian Polka).

As often happens when he has new material out, I often go back and revisit older Weird Al. Particularly the polka medleys, which brings the question…which songs that you HAD heard before, have you now replaced the cadence of the original song with the Weird Al Polka Version in your head? For me, it's definitely

Giant Gorilla Dog Thing's "Should" comes to mind right away.

I admit, I have no idea what's going on here.

I've been on a Letters to Cleo kick lately. This fits in nicely.

Stephen Root? Is he still in the wall at CTU?
