I still rank "Distortion To Static" as the best overall track, but Illadelph as the best overall album.

No, it was actually a pretty terrific year for hip hop, just no one on this staff seemed to notice.
Apathy, Cunninlynguists, DTMD, Mister Jason, The Doppelgangaz and Torae all put out outstanding records this year.  And if they're counting last December, Ghostface's "Apollo Kids" should have been on this list as well.

Who-weres.

So, William Shatner is Juliet's father, and John Cena is her brother?

So, my apologies, I made the boner reference above before I read this.  How gauche of me.

I'm trying to figure out which news gave me the boner.  I guess Justified, since it's listed first.

Fuck that, it's my new band name.

I thought the Toy Story short was terrific.  I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more mention here.  They flashed the credits way too fast for me to catch some of the voices, and I keep meaning to hit IMDB to see the lineup.

Both the drummer for the Moopets and Pepe the Prawn were criminally underused.

I can imagine that being a little surreal.

"Peoples is peoples" is perhaps the best advice I give my students every year.

Muppets From Space is terrific, if only for Pepe, the greatest of the "new" Muppets.

Remus is Rickey Henderson.

Maybe the best shock violence since Jack Bauer with the fireman's axe to the chest?

My first thought was, shouldn't they finish with Biggie first?

It's certainly in the running for mine.  Definitely Top 10.

As did I.  From this point forward, I'm referring to this jagoff as "The Human Croissant", because that's fucking gold.

Fake Ghostface Killah returns with another absolute gem:
