The "Can you hear me now?" struck me to, except that the show has been pretty much married to Sprint since season 2.

I didn't even know to look for it until I saw the review here - luckily I caught the ESPN U replay last night. This was the one I was looking forward to the most - I felt it delivered, but the criticisms are valid (didn't need to hear interview questions, and I too was wondering what the nicknames were on the screen…
I actually had missed the last 3 or 4 episodes before the break, I was starting to give up on it. I gave them last night's episode one last chance to reel me back in.
I got a mild chuckle from the itsthereal.com video "Deconstructing Ke$ha". I can't link it from here, but it's worth checking out on YouTube, except for the fact that it gets that goddamn song stuck in your head. So, proceed with caution.
Oh, Claudia. THE GREATEST of the 24 women…
I could never drum up any bad feeling for Aaliyah. Always liked her, and wonder if she'd be Beyonce right now…
Hey, I'm completely with you. I didn't discover these boards until near the end of last season, but I'm watching with much more detail now than I did for 6 and most of 7, just because I find the best part is coming in here a few times every Tuesday. So, thank you all.
@Mae - you, me, and everyone I watch it with. Aaron is the motherfuckin' man. In fact, I cheer when he shows up on other programs.
I'm just mad because I backed Last Action Hero over Jurassic Park in that summers Battle of the Blockbusters. Clearly, I did not pick the winning side.
Maverick
Along with the Danny Glover cameo, the captain (Murphy?) is one of the dealers in the final tournament. I don't remember if there's a direct reference to it, though.
And, in Demolition Man, Stallone laments the "Schwarzengger Library".
Ricin - 20 years later, I'm still not sure I've learned….
The Britney cover of "I Love Rock N Roll" was bad enough in that respect, but the fact that she didn't even KNOW who did it, while I remember my unrequited Joan Jett crush quite vividly….yeah, that did it, too.
Further making me feel old - this is the 20th anniversary year of:
@Uncle Rifle
1974. I was 8 months in the womb when my mother saw Blazing Saddles in the theater. I found that out about a year ago, and it answered so many of my life's questions.

Jack's Apartment
The bulk of texts amongst my friends was how Jack's apartment was actually decorated. We expected some barren space with no personality - ready to leave it at a moment's notice. But either he hired a decorator, or actually put time and effort into doing it himself. Which, of course, is a spin-off…
Whatever people can do to distract us from "Sweet Caroline", I'm all for. Try being around Boston when that shit hits the PA system…
I'll third "Indoor Fireworks", which I believe is enough votes to write it into law.
