As a teenager in the 80s, I loved Bruce Willis on Moonlighting and taped this off HBO when it was first on. It really is an awesome mockumentary and I'm pissed I can't find the tape anywhere. I agree the actual performance is mediocre (his music is rightly forgotten), but I still remember the first half as being

Oh no-chella? Don't go-chella?

I love that song more than it has any right to be loved. You're absolutely right about its being catchy - I haven't heard it in years and yet I catch myself singing it often. And watching the video you linked reminds me how incredibly horrible that movie was. Man, how did that piece of crap get made?

I remember seeing this in the theatre and that opening scene was unbelievably good. The movie as a whole is a very solid action movie (agreed that it's underrated) but that opening scene is Exhibit #1 on why you should see certain movies in the theatre.

Everybody knows Newton, but it's sad how unknown Gauss and his genius are. I'd love to see his life celebrated in a movie since the guy's mind was so ridiculous. I do hope this movie does well so we can see more on stories of genius, especially as our society continues to celebrate the opposite in all other media.

Agreed on everything about Ramanujan. As a math teacher, I can usually see the thought process of most major mathematical proofs but Ramanujan's seem to come from some place my mind can't go. It's really fascinating to look at his work which, as you so appropriately put it, is astonishing.

Seriously, how psyched was the writer of that article to get to write that sentence? That's going on his/her wall of fame.

According to YOUR god!

Look Away is surprisingly fantastic.

Eat animal products?

The guy writing all these over the past couple days seems to be going for some kind of record in terms of sheer volume of unhumorous output.

A fair point. I certainly don't need "everything is awesome!" all the time, but well thought out criticism is valuable and vital. I guess I would prefer either a "point-counterpoint" type thing or a more intelligent critique of something. Just saying, "This sucks cuz it has horns" or "their fans are lame" seems

Is an ass mitten just thick underwear?

"Dude, you're being interviewed for Hatesong in a couple minutes, what are you going to talk about?" "Oh crap, I forgot. Let me check my cds." "Don't start in the 'A's, they'll know you didn't try." "Good call, bro. M, M, M. Madness? Nah…Madonna? Eh…Matthews? Yes! Everybody on The AV Club will agree with me

This feature is exactly the kind of thing we don't need on the AV Club. The AV Club is a place where intelligent people come to read thoughtful articles about interesting art. Yes, the comment sections can be filled with people ripping on said art (we've all been guilty), but that's not all the comment section is

So they should have named the song, "Tripping Boners"? Actually, that would be fantastic.

God, I miss that show so much. So damn much.

I thought it was short for making you "Queasy and tying your stomach in a Lupa."

Holy crap, thanks for sharing that information! I don't watch The Bachelor or the aftershow so I would have never known about this. Massive kudos to the producer or talent booker who thought to bring Mulaney and Kroll on! PFT was clearly loving watching them riff, too. Thanks!
