She's the next Jill Scott!  (Oh wait, she disappeared.)  She's the next Joan Osbourne!  (Oh, wait, she's gone.)  She's the next Lauryn Hill!  (Oh, wait…)  She's the next "fill in the blank."
Don't worry, folks, you won't have to deal about her a year from now…

Listen, spaghetti-breath, your antics are gonna cost the department!  You're writing checks your butt can't cash!
Best Arkin role ever…

Agreed - I love Elmore Leonard and think many of the AVClubbers would dig his way with dialogue and creating awesome characters.  Where's my primer?!?!  (The new "Where's my elephant?")

And Melt Man with the power to, uh, melt!

Duckmeat is Murder?

If the shirt is a 50/50 blend then it's probably easy to tear apart.

Agreed.  I think I reversed the order of influence in my note.  I figure as two South Florida guys, Dave and Carl have had many conversations about using the area and its culture so well in their work.  I dig on Hiaasen's work and wish they could figure out how to do some good film adaptations of it.  Striptease was a

I agree on the Elmore Leonard (and a little Carl Hiaasen) feel of Big Trouble, which was great for me as a fan of both those guys.  I thought it was a great book that made me laugh a lot.  I plan to read this eventually, but I'm bummed about the poor review.  I wonder if Dave had so much fun being a part of "Naked

Hey, somebody remembers "Dave's World"!

So if you had stayed home you could have given your dog mouth-to-mouth and saved him?
But seriously, I've only had three pets die while I was galavanting off at some concert.

Did you get there early or wait too long?

Does he know why fools fall in love?

I heard NBC might replace it with "The Lana Del Rey Variety Hour"…

She looks like the older sister from 16 Candles but with redder hair.  Probably a worse singer than her, though…

I miss "Fat Benatar"…

Paul Rudd collected the shirts (I can still picture him wearing a far-too-small white polo.)  H. Jon Benjamin was the foley artist who did sound effects for that really pathetic wrestling league.  Of course, every comic friend they had on was awesome and the sketches were an essential part of the show's charm.

One of the top 5 all-time TV shows.  Just awesome how they weaved the original shows, their jokes, and the sketches.  Paul Rudd as the spelling bee polo shirt collector, Patton Oswalt and Brian Posehn as miniature golfers, and Nick Swarsdon as Jenner's nephew (to name a few) were just amazing.  The Aaron Spelling Bee

You know what's a great competition to have with yourself?  Take three ambien and see if you can finish masturbating or fall asleep before Lana Del Ray does her first song of the night on SNL.  Either way, you always win.

The one in Marina Del Rey?

My favorite part is where Bumble Bee Man comes out and stings Dracula to death in the climactic conclusion!
