I love it too! It's like he thinks the body swapping thing sucks, but hey, at least Fletcher gets late night porn. I was hoping the kids would come down and find their dad passed out in front of the dirty movies, but the wife calling Mulder a perv is good too.

Yea, I guess you're right, but I always felt like maybe Scully did actual FBI work at a cubicle somewhere else while Mulr hung out in the basement doing weird research. But yea, I suppose technically it was her office too.

I 'll ask this question again for Dreamland II…but is this the first time we see Scully's desk/work area? We're always in Mulder's basement office..I was just like "woah…Scully work in this lame desk area? No wonder she wants to hang in Mulder's I Want To Believe workspace.

Oh neat. Only twelve takes….not bad.

Seems just sliiiightly too material for a single episode. I think they did th right thing by stretching it out, even if it felt padded at times.

Duchovny dancing in front of the mirror was funny and somewhat tense, since clearly it WAS someone else on the other side of glass. It wasn't perfect, but still decent synchronization between the two actors. On the whole, I loved the use of mirrors and cameras to show how everyone else sees the Mulder and Fletcher.

Agree. Mulder acting strange should set off all kinds of alarms. But in her defense, Mulder's attempt to convince her otherwise was pretty half asses. Then again, so was Scully's (lack of) attempt to quiz the fake Mulder.

I also love how the "big yellow joint" music kicks in during those moments…

"Foreshadowing: When Buster is skipping out on his Army deployment and practicing the crane game…"
I've never heard it called the "crane game," it's called the "claw machine" which is altogether even more appropriate foreshadowing.

For my money, these two episodes are even better than last week's, and this four episode run together feels like the peak of the series. I'm not saying it went immediately downhill, it just hit an awesome plateau of greatness and stuck there until Charlize Theron showed up.
