It's actually based on a one act play, Death he had written in the seventies and that had been featured in his first second book, Without Feathers. It featured all the stuff about the guy accused of being a killer and the pepper used as a defense weapon. The circus and magic was an addition for the film. Which is why

The episode was directed by Rob Schrab, who had cast them in The Sarah Silverman Program.

He had a shorter part, as a psychologist, in one of the best Workaholics episodes, the one with the sock puppets.

There were also a lot of references to Zardoz and Logan's Run.

Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule. Tonight's episode: "Church"

This is definitely some great interview. Daly is obviously an articulate guy who gives a lot of thought into his answers, but the questions were very interesting to begin with. Thank you for this feature.

Blake Edwards did A Shot in the Dark (which was basically the template for every Pink Panther sequel, while the original is just an overlong caper comedy with Peter Sellers stealing the show), What Did You Do in the War, Daddy? and The Party.
And if you consider Dr. Strangelove to be a dark comedy…

I've always thought there were some brilliant sequences, particularly the beach serenade, the dumb basketball player or the famous writer.
But there was an element in the structure that couldn't completely gel with Harold Ramis' sensibility.
Both Groundhog Day and Multiplicity were basically about a man who's confronted

You are correct. Reed gets a title for having created the show, it would be overkill to give him a second for his voice talents. He's not Tommy Wiseau or Sam Mraovich.

HBO still has the Scorsese/Winter/Jagger project starring Bobby Cannavale on a rock record label in the seventies. Winter was reportedly quite happy to kill Boardwalk Empire after a (presumably slightly shortened) fifth season, so he could focus on developing this new project.

Work It commentary suspended until season 2 is produced, due to the renewed interest in the show caused by my reviews, airs two episodes, and the show is canceled again, with the lost episodes being broadcast only in Denmark in 2017.

- wittier dialog, with conversations filling up progressively the back story of the main

That was the point. Anyway, when you see the front page, where most of the other shows are in a comfortable groove around B-/B+, and then there's Girls, where every other episode is a classic even compared to the numerous similarly outstanding episodes from the same show that came before, it's obvious that the reviews

The problem may not be with Girls getting an A, it's with Girls getting a lot of As.

So, how about Girls? The show consistently gets A- or A, which means it delivers standout episodes faster than Kris Jenner finds a way to pimp a relative or that recent episodes put in retrospect the first season to shame…

It could be a common situation in fiction, where a couple faces infidelity or another problem. Even if the children aren't fully aware, the situation affects them and drives them to imitate subconsciously the behavior of one of the parents, more than they'd like to admit.
Check for instance the two kids from The Squid

Season 1 is based on a similar arc in HIMYM
Season 2 borrows a lot of stuff from Bride Wars.
For season 3, I ripped off the premise from The Wedding Planner.
So, I don't think I've done more than the creators.

Save the Cancellation Date!

In the season one finale, she realizes that the guy she was dating is actually in love with a supporting character and, as a grand gesture, she offers them the wedding package.
In the season two premiere, she decides to put her life back on track and find her true love within a year, so she orders another package, but
