I'd say Rushdie has always been overblown tripe, but thats just me.

I think the problem is that like with everything, 85% of academic writing is crap. Good LItCrit, post-colonial deconstruction, etc. is excellent and brings great meaning to works. However, there are a lot of academics ion the world, and they all gotta publish, and many, many, many of them are bad writers. Many in…
Its funny how journalistic publications separate their ad and editorial divisions like that, almost like its on purpose to prevent conflict of interest or something….
What ever happened to Annie's boobs?
But Nathan has a girlfriend! Did you know that? HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND.
…bad dates…
Come on now, OhNotAgain, I'm from the midwest and even I know Phillies Phans are the worst. I was in DC around the first Phillies-Nats series, and the fuckers were everywhere on the metro, and the most obnoxious, want-to-be wangsters in existence. Can't blame them though, Philly is a shithole that will turn any…
Oh never mind, I didn't see Sean's comment.
The initial incident with a different girl is what happened 4 years earlier. Lewis is saying she was raped when she was working with Roman Polanski 4 years after he drugged and raped a different girl.
Ron D. Moore was brought onto Vyager in the 3rd season for a bit after he finished with DS9, but left after fighting with the showrunner, his former writing partner. Oh what could have been.
I am normally annoyed at the all the talk of hotness of various pop culutre characters. However, since this is Star Trek and it brings out the pimply 14 year old in me, I have only one thing to say. You're all wrong, Kira is the hottest. Fiery redhead who can kick my ass 9 ways to sunday? Yes please.
Now you made me sad…
Well, rule number 2 is that the internet is for nerds
Also, Handlen, I hope the plan is to follow TNG up with DS9 write ups. Pretty Please?
Those names are not to be spoken…
Bogey, I think he is referring to B'Elana from Voyager. Who is insufferable or badass, depending on the writer/showrunner/Voyager random characterization generator.
Yeah, I think DS9 was especially well served by syndication. It never would have gotten away with the level of serialization it had in later seasons if it was regular late 90's network programming, and that would have robbed us of what is in my opinion the best trek out there (DS9 seasons 4-7)
Wilkinson, I agree with every bit of your analysis, I just come to a different conclusion from it all. Bodie is quite literally the soldier, following orders and committing horrible things at the behest of Bell. Bell is the one responsible for Wallace's, and then D's death, and just because he doesn't get his hands…
@ Wilkinson: So Bodie's death is not affecting cause he did nothing to redeem himself, but Stringer doesn't fall into the same camp? Just cause Stringer was trying to build a business doesn't mean he turned away from being a ruthless, cold, motherfucker. Where's Wallace String?
