The adaptation had some good scenes but was overall pretty fucking dreadful.
Basically the best you can reasonably hope for from Sci-Fi (or Syfy these days).

@ Donkey Lips - Actually, children are (I shit you not) programmed to not like vegetables and fruits that aren't sweet. Things actually taste more bitter to them which leads them to dislike toppings. It's an evolutionary adaptation that once kept little kids from eating every leaf and berry they came across.
