If someone had told me five years ago that the series would end with Dexter killing Deb and faking his own death, I would have been completely on board. Now…well, I can only wonder how good this show could have been if Scott Buck had never been handed the reins.

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually liked Lumen and the Season 5 plotline. The moment the show hit a brick wall was the season finale, when Deb's view of Dexter and Lumen is blocked by the plastic sheet. From that point on, it's been an absolute disgrace. How it should have gone down:
