I don't know about funniest of the year, but it is great—I love the discussion about how Henry Winkler is the obvious choice to play an Italian greaser, and the laugh-singing of course.

I get super annoyed with the "OMG it's Christmas Eve and we have no presents!" trope on other shows, especially when the person winds up running out to buy terrible presents at a gas station or something. So I was thrilled that The Middle came up with a completely reasonable compromise.
