Would you say the TV show is more consistent? There have definitely been podcast episodes I've turned off because they weren't working for me, but the TV show is tight and short and I can't imagine doing that. I do like the podcast better, because when it flies, it soars.

They're really different. The TV show (which I like) is just a much more constrained, much more staged parody kind of thing.

I was really, really surprised when I watched a Scooby-Doo movie in which the monsters ended up being genuine paranormal creatures. I had thought it was pretty much a tenet of the original TV show that it always ended up being fake. I might be wrong, but at least currently there are a lot of genuine creatures in the

I don't think it means nothing. Where Jimmy/Saul ends up, including the "Better Call Saul" TV ads, introduce the show.

What is the difference between a ball bearing and a steely?

Maybe it's better this way: this way you can't really gamify it properly.

You are making jokes about software development methodologies. I hope you spend the day taking a good hard look at yourself.

I guess you don't know the secret menu as well as you thought.

I really love this show. It's a nice reiteration that Penn & Teller are great performers who love the art of stage magic, even if you may be put off by the Bullshit arrogance or Penn's personality.

Yep, in 1981. We didn't watch any of the films or anything, but we talked about the windows blowing out and the fact that we were sandwiched between two major airbases. And we got under our desks.

The 1980s for me are the years 8-18, so it's when I "grew up". I'm sure my memory is colored by hindsight, but:

This is almost exactly the list I was going to post, except with a handheld electronic game instead of the Casio.

They have the meats! Which are necessary for Gaga's wardrobe!

I overheard a toilet conversation between two people at a Ted Cruz rally (yes, I was "at" a Ted Cruz rally, in that I was in a convention hall at a hotel next to the convention hall in which they were… rallying) and, as expected, it was all weird homophobic bullshit from beginning to end, in that special "I'm so

People (I mean real people, not fake internet people) use the terms in ignorance of the MRA/redpill/ugliness complex. For example, the terms are used (heavily) in Christopher Moore's A Dirty Job (to my great irritation) and I had to kind of gently lecture my book club about why it was dumb.

I have a neighborhood cat. I mean, there exists a neighborhood cat, who comes to visit us. He's very friendly and stops by for a pet now and then. He likes us well enough that he's left us dead mouse gifts from time to time.

Thank you for making my day :)

I generally cry Ebertian tears.

One power, which she intuits by trial and error (Rey is shown getting a lot of things wrong at first in the movie, a point curiously ignored by those calling her a Mary Sue). Can this just not be remarkable in an "Oh, wow" way? Does it have to mean she's dismissed as a "Mary Sue"?

I think it is inaccurate, and wholly so.
