Agreed on Terror of the Zygons, one of my very favorites. There is a new DVD edition of that coming out shortly, too.

Yeah I guess that they decided unlike the earlier doctors T. Baker was young and physical enough that he didn't really need a younger male action-guy assistant, and like the rest of UNIT Harry got phased out. But it was really delightful how much Harry aggravated Four (and Sarah).

I vote that this episode moves past that Johnny Quest episode with the pterodactyl, and is now the  greatest ever episode of an animated show featuring a pterodactyl. (This is a very specific honor I realize, but I still somehow feel it is an important one).

The scheduling of Gravity Falls is so random and insane that at this point it doesn't even bother me. There might be a new episode next week! Or maybe it will be ten years before the next one! It's all good.

I feel the absolute same way about cruises as David Foster Wallace did, perhaps a bit moreso. "A supposedly fun thing I'll never do again."

I think she is a very good actress, lovely, and gave a very thoughtful and interesting interview here. I can't agree that her character in "World War Z" was more than a "sidekick" though. Frankly I thought the bald Israeli actress was the sidekick, and a good one. Mireille Enos's character was less than that—the "nag"…

I don't like to stroke our collective egos too much, but totally agree this is by far the most literate and interesting forum commentary on the internet. (Of course, that is a pretty low bar, but I think we clear it).

Jack Vance was the man. The Demon Princes novels are endlessly fascinating to me, though The Dying Earth books (also great) are I suppose what he'll most be remembered for.
