I don't think it's so much 'style over content' that reeks as it is
the CGI.
The Fall is straight out amazing, visually..and no fakey computer shit.
I don't like the trend towards CG at all, looks unbelievably phony.
I guess the exception would be Sin City which it's visuals were helped
by it's noir feel.
It's the

First Blu 2001,
second The Fall.

Does irony only work when you use it?

I feel that I'd be remiss if I didn't praise Cookie.
You boiled it down to the salient points and just
by being you, bypassed the problem of repeating
tired and irrelevant concepts…while also making
most myopic 'talking points' moot.

Radio is actually one of the best places to experience
mediocrity.

2nd coolest ever:

Mad Dog 4-eva.

There's a paragraph in No One Here…that I read about
six times when I was 12 or so, that talks about how
angry Morrisons' father got when he figured out what the End meant.
Those lyrics may be kinda silly, but I like what he was saying.

Something, something 'tuna melt sammich.'

Best reply ever.

Thank you for mentioning Intronaut.
Every time I think of them, I smile.

Actually, I think they are completely serious.
And that publicity photo looks like a lot of Metallica
poses I've seen.
Lou might be in it for the irony, but that doesn't help much.

I understand the logic behind your assertion that
he may have been bringing his own baggage into
the listening experience thereby clouding his judgement
and forming an opinion before even letting any music sink in.
However, BOTH albums do indeed suck hard so maybe
he's just got second sight.

I saw them a bunch of times on the Justice tour and Lars had part of his drum fills on tape for the beginning of
Eye of The Beholder, so I believe you.

Just when you thought there were no more heroes…

IS EVERYONE YELLING BECAUSE OF THEIR SUGAR RUSHES?

Except the Reverend Horton Heat are good.

Martyrs is the 'be careful what you wish for' movie for me.
Was always the hardcore horror guy and was always looking
for that transgressive horror flick that would destroy me like
the Exorcist did when I was a kid.
Martyrs fucked me up bad.  Actually made me scared of horror movies
again.

Didn't see anyone mention it but the Pang Bros. The Eye
(not the remake) has a scene that always makes me freak and
jump even when I know it's coming.
The "Why are you in my chair?" classroom scene is pretty intense.

What a great way to start the day!
Maybe you should try that Omen theme
cranked at it's crescendo…how could that
not spell good morning?
