Same here. It made so much sense after the fact and looking back on Jerry summing up the episode's theme that you can't plan your future perfectly and so long as your loved ones are apart of your life, you'll be fine.

I immediately rewound when I first saw her in costume… just perfect

The sincerity of Winston's question was what killed me… great line reading there.

Other than Jess at the car show, this episode had line after line of hilarious dialogue and jokes. And even in the car show, we got Zooey Deschanel's physical comedy, which is always solid.

In this case I can relate to Schmidt's point of view because I was always the friend in the group who would do a lot of those little things that no one asked for and might have gone unnoticed. Of course, I didn't break down into hilarious tears over it, but I found myself agreeing with Schmidt

What's even better is I saw that reveal coming.. but the emotional payoff still landed for me.

I'm really happy to see her getting so much airtime because she's so good. Good impressions and she brings a noticeable energy whenever she's on. I was bummed Abby Elliott is off the show, but McKinnon is a great addition.

I'm willing to admit, I was fully prepared to hate this season and complain the show was overrated. I was certainly disappointed last season, whether the stories were weaker, the emotional elements were too forced, or it just wasn't as funny.. whatever the complaints, so far Modern Family has been excellent this…

I think you just explained why I like Up All Night, but not as much as I WANT to like it. Love the three main stars, but it's not the same feeling of wanting to hang out with them like I would the casts of Happy Endings or Parks and Rec.

The recurring joke of the office having to work the phones (the telethon, fundraising for Leslie), always has some great jokes in there. Jerry being out of his element and overwhelmed, and Donna chatting away.
