I've never written fan fiction before, but I'll give it my best shot. The two scenarios are variations of the same theme. The first takes place in the hospital. The doctor has just finished up putting the cast on.

The problem with shows of this nature is that they don't want to moves things either too fast or too slow. I wonder if Emily Kapnek is still shopping the show around. In which case I don't think she wanted to resolve the main issue of the Henry and Eliza relationship too neatly in case it is picked up.

I haven't thought so highly of a show and cared so much about the characters in a long time. It's hard express my disappointment at the likelihood that this is the last we'll see of Henry and Eliza.
