I come down on the "he's never had the wherewithal to go through with it" side in the end.

Genuinely unsure whether or not to be scared about what this means for my Simpsons reviews.

I love you, too! And SCTV. Don't make me choose.

Fair enough.

Agreed.

Oh, so, so much fun.

Well, I still wanted to watch this after five episodes, so Imma say no. (That guy from SOA is really good in this, though.)

Oh, you needed it.

"Live to serve ya'"—TV's Frank

Keeping with my John Irving theme—dress the up all you want, but never shave them. A shaved bear dies of shame.

John has three bears. They are nice but unpredictable.

I think Les covered the rationale pretty eloquently. But, hey, there's nothing we inferiors like more than to write about old TV—it's just that fewer and fewer people like to read about old TV. If there's a groundswell of support for doing the next season, I'm sure my superiors would give us the green light. Write,

We will never be done! Never!

And I won! That's why I had to go first!

This is a great review by Les to say goodbye to Classic Simpsons. For all the reviews I've gotten to write for the AV Club, being allowed to write some of these was my biggest honor, and actually writing them felt like my biggest responsibility.

And I'm always surprised they let me keep covering it. (Surprised and pleased, says my bank account.)

I did get a jolt when she walked out.

It can seem that way, but that's because we generally don't do weekly coverage of shows whose baseline is a C. For something like SNL, which has been on so long, which has a strong readership, and where variable quality is built into the format, you're gonna get some Cs in there.

There are several schools of thought.
