There are a multitude of Charlie clips I could have picked, but I thought this one summed up the fact that Charlie's madness—while frequently hilarious—is genuinely frightening in, as what Dennis might call, it's implications. I think Charlie's the most fascinating character on the show not because he's adorable

That's very kind of you. Thanks for reading, and happy watching.

I understand it's still a go, but delayed.

When the scientist gently suggests that Charlie not choose the cheese that's repeatedly shocking him, Charlie's response, "But I want that cheese"—there's something essential about Charlie there.

I understand its on hold but still planned.

Skippity Cricket is so much better. Respect.

His refusal to confirm he's Charlie's father always hits me hardest. He's got nothing to lose by doing it, and Charlie's sheepish unwillingness to confront Frank about something he wants so badly just hurts my heart. The way Charlie shifts into the passive voice when he asks, "So, Frank, are you like the father of me

I made the point in some review that Cricket (and Waitress, to a lesser extent) are like the Gang's Pictures Of Dorian Gray. They'll never suffer in any meaningful way, but Cricket bears the horrific scars of their awfulness all over his poor body.

Yeah, the stunt episodes—getting away from the character stuff—are usually the most forgettable. Although, then you've got Lethal Weapon 5 and Nightman. Man, no rules really apply…

They've been rather puzzlingly using modern songs (covers and 80s-sounding originals) all season rather than sticking to period music. I don't have a good reason why that is.

They earned it.

Thank you! You win the AV Club Hive Mind Helper-Person Prize. (Which is this message and nothing else.)

"I think we're all as dry as we make each other."

Just goes to show that SNL is a pretty rarified environment. Plenty of talented people flamed out there.

Right…that's not the case. Because of how television is made. I'm talking about the execution of the characters and the overall plan, which has been wobbly.

Yo-Yo is a blameless, holy creature. Do not disparage Yo-Yo.

[sighs] Yesssssss…

I close my eyes and see how every mean comment was created. It haunts me.
