I mentioned it. Perhaps you overlooked it because this review was 20,000 words long.

You're the nice one.
Disagree. All are irreplaceable because they're the mainline to the show's soul. The top-heavy nature of the cast salaries has always been the show's sword of Damocles. Now it looks like it's fallen.
As the AV Club Simpsons guy, I genuinely hope this isn't true. The voice cast is still outstanding, & thinking the loss of Shearer would be just another thing is wholly and irredeemably incorrect. Just thinking ahead to two more years of watching this show with a Shearer-shaped hole in what's left of it…[shudder].
Until next time…
Thanks, buddy!
So many good people went through there: Dave Herman, Patton Oswalt, Mo Collins, Ike Barinholtz, Phil Lamarr, the great Andy Daly, Key & Peele, for chrissakes. That it always annoyed the hell out of has to be some form of reverse-magic.
You're nice. But I love the hell out of this job. (And SNL, for that matter.)
Naw, just recalling when SNL used to mock such practices mercilessly. I know I'm old, but Michael O'Donoghue was so incensed that Lorne was letting ABBA lip-synch on the show that he wrote a sketch around their musical number where they all drowned while singing. The good old days…
This person does not speak for me!
Eh, it's a hard gig. That being said, Leslie has blown more lines this year than anyone else. See: hard gig.
I was NOT doing that. Don't start fights, you. I'm in enough Dutch around here.
God, I hope so.
Incorrect. Sorry.
Sighs. Yeah…
That's true, they do (this year has been technically very rough, especially). But they also employ guide tracks a lot—that Ashley Simpson disaster was hardly the first time.
Fair enough—I feel like we just engaged in the first internet comment peace summit. I'm catching no shortage of heat for my opinion here, so am more than willing to concede I may be mistaken. I really do appreciate you reading—and for being the nice one.
Dennis
Thanks for reading!
Sorry, am I breakfast food of some sort in this metaphor? Because, omelette, obviously.
See above. Everyone wins. Dennis surrenders.
