I like rap, and sometimes the inclusion of a "singer" into the mix is a stunning counterpoint. Azalea's "rapping" was uninteresting, and her voice unpleasant, so having someone on stage who could at least produce pleasant tones was pretty striking.

Well, I review the whole show, the musical numbers are part of the show, so I'll review them, too. SNL used to integrate its musical identity better, sure, but if it's part of the show, then I'm gonna talk about it.

That is something a lowly freelancer like myself simply doesn't know. I do know that shows with lower readerships have been kept in the rotation if it was determined that the show and/or the discussion about it was important or inspired enough. Ultimately, though, it's about you guys.
