Can't prove this story, but I read years ago that Wendt is a huge 'Mats fan. He was on Letterman once and Letterman pulled out a picture of him jogging in order to make fun of his weight. Wendt ripped the photo out of his hands and had the camera focus in on his ALL SHOOK DOWN tour t-shirt he was running in and then

I disagree with the rating, only because I feel this episode showed a lot of heart and actual character growth. The whole thing with Jay's father was oddly touching and gave Jay some rounding out as a character. I think the weakest plot, easily, was Will dealing with Donovan (though I admit to laughing at Will's mom

"Swamp Thing" FTW.

"Swamp Thing" FTW.

I read through the article waiting to probably see Ferment listed in at least the "Where Not to Start" section, but no! I mean, any record that opens with a run like "Texture," "I Want to Touch You" and "Black Metallic" deserves some serious love. And I'll stick up for their later stuff, too. I got into them through Ha

I would agree. Thus my phrasing that it's vital for people who are interested in shoegaze. Shoegaze had an impact, certainly, though. Swirlies got pasted with that MBV tag and it hurt them a bit, considering they were quite different in a lot of important ways.

Point of order. Swirlies' Blonder Tongue Audio Baton is a great, great, gorgeous album and, revivalist or not, it's a vital listen for people interested in shoegaze.

I have two copies of The Martian Chronicles because it's my favorite of his works, but the copy I got signed by him has always irritated me because of two things:

I actually startled to react when I read the word 'wrong.' Then I read the rest. Their lone top 40 hit. #40 with a bullet. Well played.

"Here’s another one: those last two Replacements records that Paul Westerberg made with a battery of guest stars in a last-ditch attempt to chase rock stardom."

I enjoyed Shadowgate, as it might have been the first game of that type that I played as well. I was utterly confused by it, though, and had to call the video store where I rented it and ask them to see if there were any initial suggestions about what to do in the instruction booklet. Wouldn't mind playing it again,

Dear god, chrisk. You dug up a memory I had locked away somewhere.

Even just sticking to GBV albums, _Isolation Drills_ and _Mag Earwhig!_ are both fantastic, especially the former, which I thought was one of the best power-pop records of the 2000s.

Electric Circus. Discuss.
