I miss the hot blonde lady! But she was only in one episode. Obviously she went off to spend time with Chuck Cunningham when the writers decided to develop the Clark-Martha story instead. It would be narratively redundant if Phil had two girlfriends, and in-universe it would be harder to explain why he's never home.

I'm assuming that Wrenn Schmidt is a mole.

I'm just impressed by your willingness to admit that you were a criminal.

I wasn't saying the Navy was safe. I think that personally that danger, while very real, would be easier for me to deal with than charging into a hail of bullets.

It's true that as a whole the Eastern Front was the worst, but the battle of Normandy, from the landings to the Allied breakout in August, actually featured casualty rates very comparable to the Eastern Front. Two months as opposed to four years, but still.

The Longest Day could dramatize whatever it wanted, so they could have Pegasus Bridge and that dude getting stuck on the church spire at St. Mere Eglise and what have you. This show is the story of one unit. They did pretty well.

Those names have no meaning to me, but are we talking about Jeremy Davies? Because he's great in that movie.

I thought all the girls on latter-day Skinemax these days were off-duty porn stars.

Multi-level marketing? So, pyramid schemes?

I dunno about that. Only one person was disciplined for My Lai, and he got a slap on the wrist, and that was for massacring a whole village of civilians.

I have come to the conclusion that I would not have been able to deal with any of that. I'd have joined the Navy. Can't deal with the idea of charging machine guns.

"Why We Fight" is my favorite episode. Goddamn, that was some good television.

No such thing as spoilers for non-fiction.

Not sure that Filipinos fighting to stop the United States from taking them over are properly classified as "lunatics".

Objectively, they did a terrible job. The airborne landings were a giant mess.

The Japanese sure did get off awfully lightly for what they did to our prisoners. Just read "Unbroken" by Laura Hillenbrand. Horrifying.

Who? I watch every week. Who?

People just say musical monologues are bad, and feel they don't need to justify the point, as if musical monologues being bad are just an objective fact. I've seen funny musical monologues, and I've seen entertaining ones, and this was pretty entertaining. Anna Kendrick sure can sing.

Well, if she's on more often, we get to see the great body and nice legs.

I was praying for the rest of that beard to come off, especially when he tugged on it.
