BTW, that talk about Lloyd George is a dumb anachronism, right? This is 1924, and Lloyd George has been out of Downing Street for two years.

How much do they get paid? Do they live rent-free in that little cottage? And it's the fancy restaurant in that dinky town that the Abbey is next to, right? Doesn't seem outrageous.

Because Daisy, who is too stupid to live, was in this instance too stupid to take an easy escape route out of life as a kitchen maid.

"I know her tryst with the Black singer is supposed to be shocking, but I feel like the show hasn't reminded us enough of why that would be so out-of-the-question."

Another silly story. Over 30 now, finally gets laid, of course she gets knocked up. And naturally the boyfriend has been murdered by the Nazis—can't be for nothing that they specifically said he'd gone to Munich.

That seems so obvious. Will the show be that obvious? Probably.

I like Blake too. I like any commoner who calls the aristocrats out on their bullshit.

Disagree. Branson staying beyond the natural conclusion of his arc has caused multiple problems. Branson staying caused the cheap, manipulative drama that was killing off Sybil—that had to be done when Jessica Findlay wanted to leave but what's-his-name didn't. Now we have Branson, who just as a reminder used to be

Daisy is deeply, deeply stupid.

Mrs. Crawley's utter lack of self-awareness and willingness to butt into other people's affairs is one of the funnier themes of the show.

This was mentioned last week, but goodness, Daisy has just gotten no character development at all. I guess none of them have, really, but back in Season 1 she was dicking around and whining about an unrequited crush, and three seasons and 12 years of show time later, she is still whining about an unrequited crush.

Well, that wasn't really snark so much as it was being overly literal, pedantic, and kind of stupid. Snark needs to be clever and funny.

This was an excellent documentary about a justly legendary game. And it's also Exhibit A in how there's nothing wrong with a tie. Pity that college footbal went to an overtime system.

Did you think when you were writing this post that it was informative or interesting?

Stood right behind Anderson Cooper at a security checkpoint at LAX once. I was going to leave him alone but the wife insisted on getting a picture with him. It was something like 11:00 at night, so we were the only ones bothering him.

I read every F review.

What Would Brian Boitano Do?

I saw your comment, and upvoted it! Well done, sir!

I don't think color commentators add any value to game broadcasts. Ever.
