There's a "no Beatles" rule? So I can't say "Come Together". Goddammit.

That wasn't an article about "The Americans", it was an article about the soundtrack to "The Americans".

Why not nap?

Shut up. And please, don't read reviews. You do realize that a review pretty much has to discuss some of the plot points in a film.

The H. Rider Haggard novel was better

Doesn't she wind up cheating on him or something?

Did you just write "spoiler alert" for a guess about a movie you haven't seen?

I read about that, lots o' nudity apparently

Alison Doody should have been a bigger star. Didn't she miss out on playing Eowyn in LOTR because she was pregnant or something?

I remember in the past reading some John Cleese interviews in which he seemed pretty bitter and disappointed over the way his film career panned out. Seemed to resent the fact that the only times he'd get a lead in a movie were when he wrote the movie himself. And I remember something from when this movie came out

This movie is pretty hit and miss but that particular scene is hilarious. Cleese in full-on rage mode is never not funny.

I find Vince sympathetic. Poor bastard, the child of Rod McCain.

Jebus, she is still alive?

I don't know, if you don't like someone, you don't like them.

All that talk of a "makeup" for "The Departed" really irritated me. OK, so it wasn't as good as "Taxi Driver" or "Goodfellas", but those movies weren't nominated that year. "The Departed" is a solid pick when compared to the field.

I'd dispute the notion that it's a "make-up" Oscar—I mean, sure, getting stiffed for "Rebecca" probably helped the next year, but it's not some trifle of a role. It was a marquee Alfred Hitchcock production, it was nominated for several awards, and she was great in it. That was an exceptional field: her sister was

Liz aged pretty horrifically, but for a good decade there—Butterfield 8, A Place in the Sun—my goodness was she hot.

97 years old, hasn't been in public for quite some time, hated Fontaine's guts. Yeah, probably not.

You're a dummy.
