Honestly I don't think these people like to even pretend they have empathy. Bigots seem to think that having empathy for people outside of your own race/religion/etc. is a sign of weakness or foolishness.
They always find a way. Remember when that black schoolgirl was, while in class, put into a chokehold, yanked out of her desk, and thrown to the ground (breaking her arm, I think) by a white cop? I saw people on Twitter marking-up video freeze-frames in order to prove that the way she moved her leg, while in the…
Ummm everyone knows that Alex Jones is HIMSELF a government-supported false-flag operative working to make his concerns over Obama sound illegitimate when in truth Obama is also himself a false-flag operative instilled into power in order to create doubts about Alex Jones, thus the two of them create a…
Ditto what sarcasm detector said, and also: People are complex, and there's sometimes a lot going on in someone's life that they'll keep hidden from most everyone else. One year is, in the scheme of things, really not such a long time to know another person - the truth is, you really don't know what this person's…
No, New York.
Yep, and they also engaged in all manner of horrendous exploitation and torture of those populations. If you wanna argue that the attacks on various Japanese cities were necessary and justified in order to combat Japanese militarism, well, that's certainly an argument that many have made. But, I'm fine with going…
Well, I thought it made sense since it's a film about mortality - after a whole movie about death, it figures that something would die, and it allows for the movie to touch briefly on the concept of an afterlife.
*SPOILER*
I saw it at its NYC premiere, with Solondz, Ellen Burstyn, and some of the other actors in attendance - the crowd seemed to really like it, but I think it was also an especially affectionate, generous and forgiving audience, including friends and family of the filmmakers, etc. Personally I wasn't bothered by the Dawn…
Having seen most of Solondz's movies, I feel like this one is on the weaker side. Too much cynicism, not enough empathy, and just not enough depth overall. But, it definitely feels like a Todd Solondz movie - if you generally like his movies, well, you'll probably like this one, too.
Also make sure you both masturbate AND cry, not just one or the other.
At some point this weekend I'm gonna hang-out in a mall which features lots of Japanese shops and restaurants. What better way to celebrate American independence than by purchasing products from a country we were once bitterly at war with and where our military slaughtered hundreds of thousands of civilians, after all.

Well as long as we're playing this game, I'll put a vote in for Isabelle Adjani ca. 'Possession' in the early 80s. Hard to believe that anyone was ever that good-looking.
I'll just take this time to mention that Yurick was a pretty interesting guy - he wrote a lot about digital technology and computerized networks before most people were really paying attention to such things. His 1985 philosophical tract 'Behold Metatron' foresaw a lot of the ethical and social questions that the rise…
What's next? Alien sex!
Ah fuck, you're right. OK, here goes… This song's alright but Rihanna is NASTY I would NOT bang her and LOL if you think she's ever watched an episode of Star Trek in her life these new Star Trek movies are just for Tumblr SJWs and maybe some fat old nerds who jerk off to Spock sucking Kirk's dick LOLOLOLOL
I actually really like this song. Is that wrong?
They were in the womb together! Don't cheapen it!
