The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever in Chocolate City.

That kid realized before the rest of us that Nirvana CDs were actually all hand-made in an Aberdeen garage by Cobain himself with a crank-operated 1920s-era CD-presser.

Well, the statistic as given is "375 million guest annually" (I'm assuming they meant "guests" plural) - I'm not sure if that means individual visitors, or overall number of visits. Also, I'm sure that the more-famous parks (Disney, etc.) field many visitors from other continents. But still, 375,000,000 - that's a

Wait… 375 million? That's 71% of the population of the continent, which I guess means that if you're a North American in a room with 9 other North Americans, the odds are that 7 of the people in that room will go or will have gone to an amusement park that year. That's… weird?

Also among the show's many successes: how naturally Harley Quinn fits into the Batman universe. People tend to think that her character's been around in the comics forever, not realizing that she was created for this show.

The cartoon's handling of Two-Face's origin is so clearly better than either of the film versions that it almost seems silly for me to bring it up…

But are there unknown copies that are unknown to have survived? Because those tend to be the difficult ones.

I think that's actually not so much their tears and more what their semen tastes like.

MORTAL KOMBAT!
MORRDAHL KOMBAHH!
MORRDEHH KUMBEHHH!

The first Resident Evil movie really is kinda good, but it's still sad that its kinda-goodness places it among the very best the genre has to offer, especially considering how much money has gone into making these things over the years.

Wreck-It Ralph, Tron (the original) and eXistenZ are all pretty good movies centered around video games, but the games in question are all made-up. Oh and there's also The King of Kong… basically, experience shows that you can make good movies about video games, but not actually based on video games.

Two fuckin’ weeks to make up your mind whether you want muscles or you want a job. This is the Justice League; old people…with muscles! No more fuckin’ skinny arms. That’s out! If you decide to do it, you’re through. Right now! This is the last time I make this announcement. No more fucking skinny arms.

You need to be pretty ripped if you wanna pound those fuckin' keyboard keys all day, man. Those letters are no joke - there are 26 of the little fuckers.

I don't know - it's probably very rare that people would actually involve the police in that situation; I was talking more about that sort of thing happening on a less-formal level (rumors, gossip, personal accusations, etc.) - that is something that happens sometimes (it's not that common, but it happens). It fits in

Yeah that would make sense. I thought I read that they were releasing it as a "mugshot," though, which would imply that it was taken by the police, but maybe that was someone misconstruing the data…

I think it's worth mentioning a bit about the rapist's mugshot. My understanding (I might have some details wrong): for a while, there was no mugshot released, but after the clamor around the light sentence grew too loud to ignore, the police department released a photo. This photo, though, seemed weirdly sanitized:

Yeah it's always a bit pause-giving to consider causing difficulty in someone's life because they expressed an opinion you disagree with, but the thing is: public statements have consequences - that's why people make public statements at all. She chose to weigh-in on this in a very public way, hoping it would affect

To armchair analyze a bit: I think that this lady wrote this post assuming that this was a case of drunk college kids hooking up and then one of them regretting it later. That is something that happens, sometimes, but from everything I've seen so far about this case - from the descriptions of the rapist being caught

Damn it, another important raven got caught in the junk-raven net! I thought our raven tech fixed this last week?

Mog?
