"Becky with the good hair" was just a harbinger for "Becky with the terrifying hair," who will truly bring the end…
Yeah that's more-or-less what I'm talking about, though - there might be some twists and turns in getting the prophecy fulfilled, and the chosen hero will of course have some reluctance about the thing they were chosen to do, but ultimately everything falls in line. I think it would be nice if there were more stories…
Even better system - pay enough money, and you're free to go. If the gods had decided you were innocent, they would have provided you with the necessary funds well in advance, you see.
Attn: TV and movie writers - More stories where characters upset their supposedly prophesied fates and where the 'chosen ones' decide to go against the forces that chose them; less stories where everything happens exactly as foretold and where the chosen one does exactly what they were chosen to do. Thank you.
I thought it was pretty clear that the Hound was dead. Yeah, we didn't actually see him die and he could be brought back in a big-twisty-reveal moment, but I kinda doubt it.
Well at least he's a step up from Baddood from the planet Toteseevill-Yuguyz-Irealliemeanit.
Depression is like having a part-time (or full-time) job that doesn't pay anything and makes you feel ashamed to talk about it, but is also one of the most difficult jobs you'll ever work.

The Fountain may have been kind of a misstep overall, but it's a really memorable, beautiful misstep (with a killer soundtrack).
A big part of what made Elysium kinda boring was that it gets away from the class allegory and, for much of its running time, turns into a generic chase movie. A more in-depth examination of class disparity would've been a lot more interesting.
Genuine question: in what way has the Millgram experiment been debunked? Last I heard, the specific methodology and more-subtle implications of that experiment are widely misunderstood, but the experiment overall (as it exists in the public imagination) is more-or-less legitimate - am I wrong?
I remember seeking out his animated feature 'The Tune' many years ago because I was/am a fan of his short films, and I remember thinking that even at just 70 minutes, it felt padded to the point of discomfort - like, basically an amusing short with lots of filler. Not all talented filmmakers are talented at making…
"I fail to understand what would be accomplished by releasing such a movie on the public. What sort of person could enjoy it?"

You'd be a bit like Phil the Disco Skinhead!
I actually have read the manga! And yeah, it's really interesting how many darlings he must've had to murder in order to get the story on-screen. Also the artwork in the comics is perpetually mind-blowing.
Yeah I thought the first one was pretty meh myself; probably a lot of eleven-year-olds liked it but now those eleven-year-olds are seventeen-year-olds and they don't wanna see that baby stuff.
